DOT Drivers and Carriers
25 Minutes
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course we review information based on the Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration referred to as PHMSA 49 CFR Subtitle B Part 177 carriage by public highway. Federal Motor Carrier Regulations referred to as FMCSR as documented in 49 CFR Parts 390-397 also covers requirements for drivers but is outside of the scope of this course. The major difference in the scope of these two regulations is that the PHMSA covers interstate and intrastate transport while the FMCSR only applies to interstate transport. In addition, states may have specific regulations governing the use and control of Hazardous Materials discussed in this course so please consult your state specific programs for further details.
